PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Comprehensive residential treatment program providing behavioral health and educational services to emotionally troubled children and adolescents

PROGRAM MODEL/SERVICES:

Long-term, inpatient psychiatric treatment
Psychiatric and psychological evaluations
Psycho-educational testing
Integrated therapeutic education
Paraphilic disorder treatment
Substance abuse counseling
Family counseling
Medical services
Therapeutic recreation
Computer-aided instruction
Music and art instruction
Pre-vocational training
Aftercare

CLIENTS:

Severely emotionally troubled
Males, ages 12 to17.2
Medicaid eligible
Forty-two client capacity

LENGTH OF STAY:

Based on Individual Treatment Plan of Care
Average length of stay: 18 months

LICENSE:

Licensed as a Residential Treatment Center by the Maryland State Department of Mental Health and Mental Hygiene
Approved by the Maryland State Department of Education
Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO)

REFERRALS:
Referrals to Adolescent Treatment Services should be initiated through one of the following agencies:

Department of Juvenile Services, statewide
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
Board of Education, statewide
Department of Social Services, statewide
Core Service Agencies of Maryland

All referrals to the Adolescent Treatment Services Program must be made through the Woodbourne Intake and Referral Department.
