PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Short-term, residential, diagnostic and treatment program for children who are unable to stay in their homes or current placements due to serious personal crisis and/or family disruption

PROGRAM MODEL/SERVICES:

Diagnostic evaluation
Multi-disciplined team assessment
Twenty-four hour admissions
Crisis intervention
Stabilization and short-term treatment
Medical services
Educational services
Family-focused counseling and activities
Recreational and cultural activities
Aftercare placement recommendation

CLIENTS:

Acutely traumatized children
Ages 8 to 16 males
50 clients capacity

LENGTH OF STAY:

60 – 90 days

LICENSE:

Maryland Department of Human Resources, Social Services Administration
Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO)

REFERRALS:
Referrals to the Children’s Diagnostic Treatment Center should be initiated through one of the following agencies:

Department of Social Services, statewide
Department of Juvenile Services

All referrals to the Children’s Diagnostic Treatment Center must be made through the Woodbourne Intake and Referral Department.
